As a newly diagnosed teenager with type 1 diabetes, my friend, Megan, and I have chosen to organize the 2nd annual Distance for Diabetes 5K Fun Run & Walk to support diabetes research and raise awareness of this rapidly growing disease. We hope that you will support our efforts by participating in our event, and ultimately help us to reach our goal of raising $10,000 for the American Diabetes Association.

Please note that this is the ADA School Walk page, but proceeds will go to our Distance for Diabetes event.

Being diagnosed with diabetes is a difficult, life-changing experience. With your participation and/or donation, it is our hope to help in the search for a cure so other children won't have to experience what I, and many others, have to on a daily basis. Together, we can all go the distance for diabetes!
